Jeff has had five of the ten radiation treatments. He goes this Monday through Friday to receive the rest of them.
We have been blessed with friends and family that have stepped right in and said, “Tell me what you need.” The kids were taken care of and dinners were prepared and dropped off. Both efforts were such a huge help since we didn’t have any say in the scheduling times for Jeff’s treatments.
The side effects have been hard. The treatment only takes a couple of minutes, but by the time we are about thirty minutes down the road, he has a splitting headache. Nausea follows soon after. I am hoping that once his treatments wrap up on Friday, he will start to feel much better.

Adrienne, you know we never really knew each other in school I knew Eric and you knew my sister Shelia but we didn't know each other. Then came facebook and I feel after all that you have shared we have know each other for ever! Please know that we pray for Jeff, you and the family every day. You are an inspiration my friend for me and many many others.
Adrienne ~ I'm so sorry to hear about everything Jeff is going through. You are such a strong person. I keep you, Jeff and your kids in my prayers daily.
Oh Adrienne. This is just heartbreaking. So heartbreaking. It is painful to read. I hope that you have a MUCH better week this coming week! I really do! God bless.
Hi Adrienne, I came across your blog from Angie and her wonderful pictures she took of you and your beautiful family. I believe you have visited my blog before and after reading yours I completely understand what you are dealing with and your up and down emotions. It is not fun is it? After reading about how the steroids have been affecting not only your husband but you as well I realized it is not just me that notices these things! So frustrating. I am going to pray for you and your husband and hope you can all find some comfort soon. I hope his week of radiation goes well. If you ever need to vent or talk about what is happening please feel free to email me anytime. dvmswife@aim.com
God bless!
Amy
You are a courageous family. Wish I lived a little closer so I could be one of those leaving meals at your door. Prayers continue....
I just read about your family on Angie's blog and was able to view your pictures. What an amazing beautiful family you have! You are so incredibly strong and your family is such an inspiration to me and many others. I am praying for your husband and the rest of your family!
Whenever it seems that life has gone awry and there is no solution, I remember that God is in control. In control of the outcome as well as the income of our lives. In control and looking out for us. And I call out for mercy and grace - an repeat Julian of Norwich's famous statement of truth..."All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well."
And then I pray some more.
For you- I'm praying some more.
I just stopped what I was doing to pray for your family. Like you said on your sidebar, cancer can be overwhelming. You are blessed to be able to receive comfort and strength from God.
I'll help pray for Jeff. Let's remember that God is above all kinds of diseases, including cancer. He may allowed diseases to come to us but He can also take them away from us if He wants to.
