Wisdom and Encouragement

I’ve been going through a drawer filled with get-well cards.  I had saved all of them that Jeff had received since his first diagnosis in 2004 until now.  Because I was having trouble getting the drawer to close, I figured it was time I sorted them, keeping only the ones with personal messages.

Some of the cards had great messages of wisdom and encouragement, and I thought I would post some of those over the next few days.

Difficult things can cause us to ask, "Why did this happen?"  But if we're trusting in Christ we never need to ask, "How could He let this happen?"

God may never reveal all His reasons to us, but He has revealed His character to us.  His character assures us that He never makes mistakes, is never uncaring, and that He never separates Himself from our need.

That is beautiful and just what I needed to hear today. Know that you and your family are in my prayers often.

I hope you are putting all of these cards and messages in a big album. Your kids and future grandchildren will need to see those someday--just knowing how hard Jeff has fought the battle since 2004, and knowing how many wonderful friends and family members you all have.

Aren't those words gorgeous, Adrienne???? Words can mean SO much...

Much Love and Hugs and lots of PRAYERS for all of you,
Betsy

True! How true indeed. He promises to never leave us or forsake us and that all things work together for good to those that Love the Lord. His good is based on the whole book not just one chapter, of course. You are such a blessing to those who are going thru like situations. God bless you in the journey. You're both here for a reason - for such a time as this.

I pray continued peace for you and your family regardless of what life presents at the moment.
