Wisdom and Encouragement – Part 6

A Spiritual Prescription

Greet the morning gratefully, and let the day begin
with God's eternal nourishment of peace and joy within...
Take the cup of blessings measured out for you today
And let it overflow with loving care to give away...
Exercise the power of the Spirit in you deeds,
and keep your vision focused where the light of Heaven leads,
For God gives courage to the strong, and to the weary rest,
hope to lead a better life, and help to do our best.
And complete assurance of our soul's good health and care,
Our Lord, the Great Physician, calls us near to Him in prayer.

Adrienne, I am here via your other blog which I got to from I Heart Faces. I have spent time reading about your family, your husband's illness, your amazing faith. I just wanted you to know that you have a sister in Christ in CA who has prayed for you today and will pray for you every time God brings you to my mind.
Hugs,
Rhonda

Adrienne,
I took my mother to many of her radiation treatments and sat in the waiting room praying for her, me, our family, and all the other patients in the radiology department.
After the third week of treatments, I had gotten to know quite a few of the other people, and I noticed that one elderly black woman was always dropped off to sit and wait by herself in a wheelchair. She never spoke to anyone, and was always chanting/muttering something under her breath as she sat there alone, reminding me of a noisy little crow.
One day, all the seats were taken, so I leaned up against the wall close to where the little "crow" sat noisily crooning what I joyously recognized as the hymn, "Never Alone".
I hummed it along with her and felt the sisterhood in Christ as we assured ourselves of His presence in a very cold and comfortless atmosphere.
Your postings remind me of that moment- sharing words that give us all comfort in the knowledge of the goodness of our Lord Jesus Christ, who "promised never to leave us, never to leave us alone."
May you know the richness of His presence,
Today.

Adrienne-
I can't stop thinking of you and your family these days. There is a song that keeps running through my head. My mom loved it sung to her the last few weeks she was alive- Here are the second and third verses to When We See Christ

Sometimes the sky looks dark with not a ray of light,
We're tossed and driven on , no human help in sight;
But there is one in heav'n who knows our deepest care,
Let Jesus bear you burden- just go to Him in pray'r.

It will be worth it all when we see Jesus,
Life's trials will seem so small when we see Christ;
One glimpse of His dear face all sorrow will erase,
So bravely run the race till we see Christ.

Life's day will soon be o'er, all storms forever past,
We'll cross the great divide, to glory, safe at last;
We'll share the joys of heav'n - a harp, a home, a crown,
The tempter will be banished, we'll lay our burden down.

It will be worth it all when we see Jesus,
Life's trials will seem so small when we see Christ;
One glimpse of His dear face all sorrow will erase,
So bravely run the race till we see Christ.

Love and prayers
Kristi

Hi there, I hope you are okay. Course what you are going through has to be so maddening. Not a day goes by that I don't think of you and your husband. Prayers abound to you from up in Michigan. Big hugs too.

Hi Adrienne,
I am trying to catch up with my blog reading now that my kitchen remodel is done. I found where I left off here, and was going to combine my comments, but wanted to stop here because I was especially touched by this one. It looks like each has been encouraging and uplifting for you, and I hope you look at them periodically. Oh, you can do it here, if you've recycled the cards.

God bless your Easter.
