Fear not

“Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.”

    Isaiah 41:10

There is so much comfort in that verse of Scripture!  Isn’t that beautiful to know that ahead of time.  No matter what 2010 will bring to us, God will uphold his children.

I have some idea of what is coming this year, and I know that on my own, there is not enough strength to bear it.  Yet, I read this precious promise in Isaiah, and I know that God will help me.  He will give me strength.  He will even hold me up when I feel like collapsing under the weight of it all.

I’m so glad I got to know Him long ago.  Long enough to see His working things out in the past. Long enough to know I can trust Him.  Long enough to know I need  not fear.

I hope you know Him like that, too.

Well, not quite yet but I am learning, especially with the Bright Light you continue to hold fast in your darkest hour. I pray the Lord uses me somehow to be part of the net of prayer that will sustain you and your family through these coming months of hope.

Yes I know HIM--and thank HIM constantly for my life and his love. Don't know how people get through sorrow and grief without HIM in their lives.

God Bless You, Adrienne, and your wonderful family as you begin 2010. Just keep your strong faith--and God will take care of your and yours.

Hugs and Prayers,
Betsy

DeeJ and Betsy, I just wanted to take a moment to thank you for your friendship. It is really quite amazing to feel supported by loving people, especially since we've never seen one another in person. I pray we get the chance to do that someday.

Oh my heart truly aches with this news. God has created this world for us to live and learn and love .. What a blessing it is - that you share life with one so very special. And what a blessing to know and have the confidence that because of God's great sacrifice you will be together forever on that day when we stand before our God praising Him.

I pray in the journey ahead you will come in contact with people who will be able to see Jesus with skin on "in you and Jeff and your children" that you will be a blessing to them and in turn, they a blessing to you. I pray that as you walk this road you will bring Glory to the King of Kings. And I pray that he will sustain you with His strength and comfort you in His arms every moment of the coming days.

You are all in my heart and prayers.

My dad once said that each person we meet has a purpose. As you travel this rough road of cancer, realize that you have a purpose in the journey. Maybe it's a co worker or a doctor that you meet along the way that needs Christ in his or her life, I am not sure. Know that it is not a journey without purpose. God will give you strength for what you cannot bear or those you need to help you bear it. In our prayers,

God will send you angels this year honey, I say that in faith and experience. I lost my Husband to cancer on September 3rd to Prostate Cancer, and my father suddenly to heart disease one month three days later. The last year of my husband's life, and as he started to pre-activly die, he gave me angels in the form my my mother, father, a wonderful hospice nurse, and social worker...just to name a few. You will endure, that I promise you, and you will be stronger than you ever dreamt possible. Much love, and blessings.

I'm still typing through my tears. It is such a blessing that you know God, are clinging to the promises in His Word, and receiving comfort and strength from the Holy Spirit.

Adrienne- You offer such a strong testimony and show so much love for others, Jeff picked a wonderful wife and must be so comforted knowing that you are in this battle with him. God has already provided a loving network of friends and family to surround you and you are well acquainted with His constant mercies and daily strength to overcome despair.
I just wanted to let you know that I am praying for you both and for your children.
And I wanted to thank you for having the courage to share your pain, faith and hope with so many others.
I love you and am happy to have you as a sister in Christ.
